Richard is an MD-PhD student in the neurobiology and behavior graduate program and received his B.A in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Vanderbilt University. After graduating, he joined the NIH as an IRTA postbaccalaureate to study the transcriptional regulation of microglia in the lab of Keiko Ozato. Richard joined the Liu lab in 2021 and is studying the application of epigenome editing in vivo. Outside of lab, his hobbies include watching sports, playing basketball, and eating junk food.
