Lexie Liu Master Student | 2024-2025
Lexie Liu earned her B.S. in Biological Science from South China Agricultural University. During her undergraduate studies, she developed CRISPR/dCas9-based transcriptional regulatory systems using RNA aptamers in plants, and applied them to fine-tune carotenoid biosynthesis pathways. She later completed her Master’s training in Biotechnology at Columbia University. She completed her Master’s thesis in the Liu lab on small peptide–based strategies for DNMT3A recruitment and targeted gene silencing, under the guidance of Zhaojun Wang. Outside of the lab, she enjoys exploring the city, visiting museums, and attending live performances.
