Shiwei Cao Postdoc
Shiwei obtained his Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (B.V.M.) from Jilin University, China, and subsequently earned his Ph.D. from the Institute of Zoology, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. His doctoral research concentrated on X-chromosome inactivation in embryonic stem cells and the development and evaluation of gene-editing tools. In 2025, he joined the Liu Lab to further investigate the applications of gene-editing techniques.
Outside the laboratory, Shiwei enjoys raising cats and cook.
