Zuli received her B.S. in Experimental Medicine and Ph.D. in Cell Biology from Peking University, China. During her doctoral research, she developed self-inactivating CRISPR/Cas9 strategies for HTT gene editing and evaluated its therapeutic effects in Huntington’s disease mouse models. In 2026, she joined the Liu Lab as a postdoctoral researcher to investigate epigenome editing tools and their applications in neurological diseases.

Outside of the lab, Zuliayeti enjoys discovering good coffee, city walks, and spending time in nature.
